What is eSim, how to use it?, which devices support eSim?
e-Sim is a feature used for connecting a mobile device directly to a mobile network without needing a physical SIM card. eSim is available on iPhones from the iPhone XS and newer models.
Here’s how to use eSim on your iPhone:
- Open Settings and go to Cellular.
- Tap on “Add Cellular Plan.”
- Follow the instructions to complete the eSim setup. These instructions will provide you with a QR code or activation code for the eSim setup. You can either scan the QR code or enter the code manually using the Camera app on your iPhone.
- Choose the eSim provider and tap “Continue.”
- Enter the information provided by your provider (e.g. subscription plan, billing details) to complete the eSim setup.
- Tap “Done” to activate the eSim.
After completing these steps, you can start using eSim on your iPhone. To use eSim, open Settings and go to Cellular, then select the active eSim. You can use this eSim to make phone calls and use data by connecting your iPhone to a mobile network.
Note: You can use multiple eSims on your iPhone, but this feature may vary depending on the model of your device. For example, iPhone 12 models can use two eSims simultaneously, while iPhone XS models can only use one eSim.
